The Story

Meet
Pengi

If you see Beatrix, Pengi is sure to be nearby

Pengi is a small stuffed penguin who is 4 years old, his favorite colour is yellow, and his favorite food is tuna. Pengi has been with Beatrix for as long as she can remember, he has been an fashion model, a pirate hunter, a prince, a knight, an artist, a rock star, and a best friend. Together they've explored arctic tundras across ice rinks, created fast food resturaunts that had lines miles long, dressed up as a slug, a merman, a king, and many more, embarked on brave voyages to the beach, British Columbia, Algonquin, Antarctica, Mexico, and beyond. Pengi has lived in a igloo, a desk, a tiger themed bedroom, toronto, and Hamilton, he sits at every family dinner, has his own tissue box bedroom, and has top marks in stuffie school. “Pengi is my best friend.” says Beatrix.

Beatrix wanted to share that love with the world. So she learned linocut printing — carving a design into a block and pressing it onto fabric by hand. She carved Pengi herself, one careful cut at a time.

    Step 1 Customize

    We review your order and decide which shirt, design, and colours will work best.

    Step 2 Paint

    We mix and roll the paint onto the linocut, then we press the inked block onto the shirt.

    Step 3 Sign

    Each logo is personally signed by Beatrix using permanent fabric ink.

  4. Finished Pengi shirt with the stuffed penguin

    Step 4 Ship

    Your shirt will be delivered personally or by Canada Post, depending on your location.

How It Works

  1. Order with the order form

    Share your size, shirt and ink colour preferences, and your contact info. We read every order personally.

  2. Receive a confirmation

    We'll be in touch within 2–3 days with confirmation and details about your shirt.

  3. Payment by e-transfer

    Payment happens ahead of time, payment is by e-transfer.

  4. We get to work

    Allow 1-2 weeks for us to hand-print your shirt. All great things take time.

  5. And that's it!
